Refund Policy

The Society for Scientific and Technological Advancement (TSSTA)

At the Society for Scientific and Technological Advancement (TSSTA), we are committed to advancing education and research through various initiatives, including conferences, seminars, workshops, training programs, professional memberships, publications, awards, scholarships, financial aid, and travel grants.

To support these activities, TSSTA collects payments for related services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which a refund may be requested and processed.

1. Non-Refundable Payments

All payments made to TSSTA are non-refundable. These payments are considered final and are collected to support the educational and scientific work of the organization. Once processed, payments cannot be refunded, reversed, or transferred under normal circumstances.

2. Exceptions to the Non-Refundable Policy

Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional cases:

  • Duplicate Payment: If a payment was made more than once for the same service.
  • Incorrect Payment: If a payment was made in error for the wrong program or service.
  • Overpayment: If a user has paid more than the required amount.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under the exceptions listed above:

  • Submit a written refund request within 7 days of the payment date.
  • Send your request via email to contact@tssta.org or use the contact form on the TSSTA website.
  • Include the following information:
    • Full name and contact details
    • Payment reference or transaction ID
    • Amount paid
    • Reason for the refund request
    • Any relevant supporting documents (e.g., receipts, screenshots)

4. Review and Approval Process

  • All refund requests will be reviewed by the TSSTA administrative team.
  • Refunds will only be approved if the error or over-payment is clearly verified.
  • TSSTA reserves the right to reject refund requests that do not meet the policy criteria.

5. Processing of Refunds

  • Once approved, refunds will be processed within 15 business days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed upon.

6. Non-Refundable Charges

The following charges are non-refundable, even in cases of mistaken or excess payment:

  • Administrative and processing fees
  • Event registration fees once access or materials have been provided
  • Publication or submission fees after processing has begun
  • Membership fees after account activation or access to member resources
  • Any services already rendered or consumed (e.g., downloadable content, certificates issued)
