Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for Life Membership, applicants must fulfill at least one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a graduate (Bachelor’s) degree in any academic or professional discipline.
  • Have a proven track record of excellence in academic teaching, research, innovation, or institutional leadership.
  • Demonstrate outstanding contributions to education, community development, or social work, with measurable impact.
  • Be recommended or nominated by a peer, institution, or TSSTA chapter.
  • All applications and nominations are subject to review and approval by the TSSTA Executive Committee.

TSSTALM Designation and Certificate

Upon approval, successful candidates are awarded:

  • The TSSTALM title, to be used as a professional post-nominal (e.g., Jane Doe, TSSTALM).
  • A Lifetime Membership Certificate, bearing the TSSTA seal and signed by the Executive Board.
  • A profile feature on the TSSTA website or publications, showcasing your journey and contributions.

Membership Validity

  • The TSSTA Life Membership is valid for a lifetime.
  • No annual dues or renewals are required.
  • Members retain lifelong access to TSSTA resources, networks, publications, and privileges.

How to Apply

Interested candidates or nominators may apply by following these steps:

  1. Complete the Life Membership Application Form on the TSSTA official website.
  2. Upload academic credentials, professional résumé, or supporting documentation outlining your contributions.
  3. Submit letters of recommendation (if applicable).
  4. Await review and formal approval by the TSSTA Executive Committee.
  5. Upon approval, receive your TSSTALM certificate and welcome package.
